Our journey into producing CBD products was slightly unusual… One of our directors is a practicing barrister, who would frequently hear about claims that cannabis was being used to treat chronic pain, anxiety, and other conditions that seemingly weren’t improved by conventional medicine. Unfortunately for those involved, cannabis products (especially those grown in someone’s attic) are illegal to possess!
But looking into the subject further, we saw that there was a growing volume of research that demonstrated that cannabis, or more accurately some of the compounds found in cannabis, were being shown to have verifiable medical benefits. For instance, the British press reported extensively about the case of Billy Caldwell, a 12 year old boy who suffered from severe epilepsy. Before using cannabis oil, he would suffer up to 100 fits per day. When taking the prescribed treatment using the oil, he went for 250 days without a single seizure.
While that may be an extreme example of the beneficial effects of these products, there is a growing range of research to suggest that the naturally occurring compounds found in cannabis and hemp, known as cannabinoids, may provide a wide range of health benefits.
Research suggests that the most significant cannabinoid found in hemp is also completely harmless: Cannabidiol, better known as CBD, is a legal substance that has been linked to reducing anxiety, reducing inflammation, improving joint pain and arthritic conditions, and even weight loss! More importantly, CBD is completely harmless as it is not psycho-active… in other words, it won’t get you “high” and it is completely legal.
But we also understand that as CBD becomes better known, there are more choices for you to consider. We have looked at a lot of sites offering CBD, and have seen just how confusing the whole topic can be. We have also seen that sometimes, people seem to be selling products that don’t quite match the sales pitch!

Even though the weather can sometimes leave a little to be desired, these markets are a great way to get to speak directly with people who have heard about CBD and want to know more… or to buy our products.
One of the most interesting, and sometimes difficult, parts of doing this is hearing about the problems that people face with their health. We have met men and women who have conditions including Parkinsons, Social Anxiety Disorder, back pain, Fibromyalgia, and Insomnia. There is a real desire for people to find something that can help with these conditions, without the risk of addiction or side effects.
While this might sound like the perfect opportunity for a sale, that simply isn’t our way.
We hate the idea of exploiting someone’s health problem, or their frustration with conventional medicine just to make an easy sale. We will never do that. In fact, we are more likely to send someone away with one of our information leaflets than with a bottle of our CBD oil.
So, are we just bad salesmen?
Maybe. But one of our core principles is that we want our customers to be able to trust us. We would rather give a customer all the time they need, and the chance to discuss CBD with their doctor, knowing that they can either come back to us at the next market or order directly here, with free postage.
But our approach goes beyond the decision whether or not to buy CBD- we make it a point of principle never to try and “upsell” from our 2.5% to our 5% Full Spectrum CBD Oil.
